So, it's been a while, hasn't it? I imagine people are wondering where I've been, but the kicker is that I haven't really "been" anywhere; I've logged onto this site just about every day for the last year and a half; as any of the people I've thanked for llamas or watches in that time can attest to, I'm sure. I suppose the more accurate question would be, why have I been just lurking for the last 17 months? A few reasons, actually: for starters, the artist I used to get regular commissions from suddenly went Patreon-exclusive last March, right as the pandemic kicked in out here, and I was simply unable to afford what they were asking for on that platform. Relatedly, living on my own now makes it hard to afford new commissions as often as I once could; but aside from that, general pandemic-related depression as well as some non-COVID health problems hitting me after the calendar turned over to 2021 also provided another distraction, another obstacle, in getting anything to post here; and lest I forget about dA Eclipse's general crumminess. (Do y'all remember that my birthday is in a month? If not I don't blame you, and on that note I'd like to apologise for all of the birthdays I've missed; God forbid they actually remind you of upcoming birthdays anymore!) But even with all that having been said, ultimately the biggest reason I've neglected my page for so long? Laziness. I just never felt like posting anything here; and the real kicker is that I do have a few art pieces to post from the last 17 months - plus a handful in the works as we speak - and that brings me to what this journal is about: starting tomorrow for the next few days, barring some unforeseen circumstance of course, I'll be posting some of the commissions I have in my backlog, for y'all to enjoy. It's time for me to get back into the swing of things, so to speak. And lastly, on a related note, I'd like say beforehand: you may be able to guess based on the avatar I made for Pride Month but then never changed back, as well as a couple of the pics I already have on my page, but right now I would like to officially come out as bisexual. ("biromantic asexual" actually, but hey, semantics. ) As such, a couple of the pictures in my backlog - and a couple in the works - will involve cute guys in bondage, and so if that sort of thing bothers or offends you, you're free to unfollow me. I can't imagine too many of y'all being put off by that now, but just in case, there's your warning. So yeah, to sum up, I'm back posting again! Let's see how long it lasts.
